I have a user name and password but I am not asked to log in, or receive 'Authorisation Required' error

When you attempt to Log In, a small window should pop up and ask you for your username and password.

If you have your security options set to 'low' in Internet Explorer, you may not receive this window, and instead you will receive an 'Unauthorized' message.

To make sure your security options are set correctly, please do the following:

  • In Microsoft Internet Explorer, go to Tools>Internet Options.
  • In this window, click on the Security tab.
  • In the next window, scroll all the way to the bottom of the selectable options to User Authentication>Logon. There should be four selectable options. Make sure 'Prompt for username and password' is selected.
  • Click 'OK' and restart your computer. This should ensure that you will be asked for your username and password.
